I spent Saturday fidgeting and worrying about this project. It’s something I’ve never done and wasn’t sure if I could pull it off.
The morning was spent for a ton of dry fitting, searching for the right vegetation, rocks and cutting for the backdrop. It took a solid 3/4 of the day before I was happy with the composition.
The evening was spent mostly trying to paint the backdrop. It was challenging but I got it done with an acceptable result. After that, the rest if the base was a breeze.
Not so much progress on Sunday. Just adding some trees and vegetation on the base. I also started on painting the main character. Overall, everything is still on schedule.
Here is the picture at the end of Saturday. It still needs refinement, but I am happy with the progress.
